Inspired by the crenels of Guimarães Castle and the helmet of King Afonso Henriques, Guimarães 2012 logo stems from a “heart window” with multiple facets. João Campos is the author of the official logo, which is the winner proposal of the national contest for creating the graphic identity of Guimarães 2012 European Capital of Culture.
