Guimarães 2012 CEC

Centro Cultural Vila Flor will be the stage for three classical music concerts. Orquestra do Algarve will be the first performance on the 7th September, conducted by maestro Pedro Neves and with the participation of Todd Sheldrick as horn soloist, scheduled to 10:00 PM. On the 23rd, Guimarães 2012 welcomes the Macao Orchestra in a concert that symbolizes the relationship between the cradle of the Portuguese nationality (Guimarães) and the last overseas territory under Portuguese administration (Macau). Orquestra Sinfónica do Porto Casa da Música, conducted by maestro Christoph König will close this music cycle on the 29th September.

Within this cycle, the European Capital of Culture as already welcomed the Orquestra Metropolitana de Lisboa, the Orquestra Filarmónica das Beiras, the Orquestra do Norte, the Orquestra Sinfónica Portuguesa and also the Orquestra Chinesa de Macau.
