Chá:Vena opens. Everyday, from 6:30 PM on, on Largo da Oliveira, you can listen to a concert for cup, coffee milk and cake.
On Wednesday, at 10 PM, in Paço dos Duques de Bragança,
Artur Pizarro presents a piano recital dedicated to the 150 years of the birth of Claude Debussy. In Praça Santiago and Largo da Oliveira you can watch, at 11 AM, 5 PM and 10 PM, Útero Theatre’s performance,
On The Street.
The following day, the 23rd, the site-specific
Tranza-Atlântica opens, at 10PM, in Fábrica ASA.
On Friday the 24th, at 9:30 PM,
Duo Luís Meireles and Maria José Souza Guedes plays in Paço dos Duques and, the next day, is
Matosinhos String Quartet’s turn to play at the same place.
But there is still more you can do on this bright Saturday afternoon. On Couros’ Square, at 7 PM, you can listen to
Filho da Mãe’s concert and in Sociedade Martins Sarmento you are invited to listen to The
Resurgence of the Flute in the Twentieth Century. As you are near Plataforma das Artes e da Criatividade, why don’t you visit the exhibition
Beyond History?
On Sunday, the 26th, everybody roams to the
Picnic Play! From 11 AM to 7 PM, in the City Park, you can relax, listen to music, watch performances, participate in workshops and much more! In Centro Cultural Vila Flor, Fundação Orquestra Estúdio will be offering you… more music:
Beethoven’s Fifth. The performance happens at 4 PM but if you arrive a bit earlier you can visit
Flatland (Redux), exhibition held at Palácio Vila Flor. But there are more exhibitions. In Museu de Alberto Sampaio you can visit
Angelorum. Angels in Portugal and
Angels Today, two sacred art displays.

International Music Meetings of Guimarães start. The concerts take place until de 8th of September, in Centro Cultural Vila Flor, at 10PM. The first is
Shaken not Stirred or the art of Variation, on Tuesday, the 31st. On the 29th,
Jed Barahal brings his cello’s sound to São Francisco’s Church.
To close the month, the soloist Tiago Ferreira, brings to Sto. António dos Capuchos’ church a concert, part of the
International Festival of Iberian Organ.
