Matosinhos' String Quartet, formed in 2007, presents a reference repertoire in the history of quartet’s music. From Portugal we will hear Luís de Freitas Branco’s String Quartet, responsible for the introduction of Impressionism in our country. From the french Maurice Ravel, a world reference as composer and pianist, we will hear the famous Quartet in F Major.

Contemporary from the end of the 19th century and from the beginning of the 20th century, in this concert we can enjoy the impressionist influences of both and the way these reveal each one’s style.
