Strings of Thought is a piece of contemporary dance using digital media as part of an interactive scenography. In this solo, the performer is attached to several cables suspended at different points in space, each with the ability to control sound, light, and text. These represent the abstractions of our personal dogmas, affecting body movement and dexterity, while revealing the inner struggle of whom we are and whom we wish to be.

 

Ivan Franco and Ligia Teixeira have developed, since 2006, several plays aiming to explore the ability of physical interaction with interactive systems, trying to create an effective proximity to the dialogue between body and machine.
