The 3rd Contemporary Pop Music Festival of Guimarães – FundaSound – has already started. This is an initiative of the City Council, supported by Fundação Cidade de Guimarães, and it is targeted to all musical projects framed in the Contemporary Pop Music genre.

Participation is open to all collective or individual musical projects, with or without discographic work edited. Registration is free and can be done until the 3rd of June 2011.

The jury will select up to ten bands or individual musicians to performe at the CCVF’ Cafe Concert and São Mamede, comprising:
a)    5 bands or individual projects from Guimarães;
b)    5 bands or individual projects from all over the country.

The selection panel will then designate the winning projects, within the two categories. Both will be invited to perform again on the 25th of August, at the Barco Rock Fest, and will be awarded with a cash prize of a thousand euros, and the audio and video recording of their performances at CCVF’s Cafe Concert and Boat Rock Fest 2011.
