Led by the Conductor António Vassalo Lourenço, the Beiras Philharmonic Orchestra will present a programme with works by two of the most representative French composers from the early 20th century: Pavane Pour Une Infante Défunte (Pavane for a dead Princess) by Maurice Ravel, and Prélude à l’Aprés-midi d’un Faune ((Prelude to the Afternoon of a Faun) and Petit Suite by Claude Debussy. The orchestra will also present A Última Porta (The Last Door) a work for Four-Hand Piano and Orchestra, composed by the conductor Jean Sébastien-Béreau, who is currently living in Portugal and Abyssus Ascendens ad Aeternum Splendorem (The Rising Abyss for Eternal Brilliance), a work for Piano, Orchestra and Tape, by the Portuguese composer, João Pedro Oliveira.
