Guimarães 2012 presents “you are part of it”
In a direct invitation made to the people, Guimarães 2012 has launched the campaign entitled “Tu fazes parte – You are part of it,” beckoning everyone to discover the history, lifestyle and culture of the residents of Guimarães. In 2012, the City of Guimarães will set the stage for original artistic productions of all kinds and opens its arms to all those who wish to participate in this year that offers so much to see, feel, experience and enjoy in a place which has the privilege of being the center of countless cultural events. In 2012, indeed, “You are part of it!”

New welcome point in the center of the city
Guimarães has a new meeting place, at nº 60 in the Rua Camões Street near the Toural Square. It is a welcome and information point for citizens and visitors of the European Capital of Culture. This welcome point will be a place for information about the city and about the Guimarães 2012 cultural program.

Košice 2013 promotes Artist in Residence
In the frame of European Capital of Culture the NGO Košice 2013 is running an international Artist-in-Residence program for emerging artists from all over the world and from all artistic disciplines and expressions. Residents will be thus given the possibility to become a cultural pioneer and to work in the inspiring environment which is the City of Košice. The deadline for application is the 31st of December 2011.
