On coming 22 February, at 10:00PM, the Large Auditorium of the CCVF is hosting a magnificent concert with the participation of OUTRA VOZ. This is the product of a joint stage project between Amélia Muge and Michales Loukovikas.
The Periplus Project was born in 2010, with mentors Amélia Muge (Portugal) and Michales Loukovikas (Greece). Based on a common Mediterranean heritage – a constant element in both Greek and Portuguese musical aesthetics -, this project was the result of a chain of ideas bound together by the will to cooperate, thus opening a path worth sharing. The Luso-Greek deambulations led to the recording of a CD, which is now brought to the public in the form a concert marked by the discovery of the common elements that lie hidden in the diversity.
The participation of OUTRA VOZ in this artistic project is not only a consequence of the group’s specificity and its connection to Portuguese artists and creators such as Amélia Muge, but also of the role it plays in the programme of Guimarães 2012 European Capital of Culture in the field of Community.
There will be a second session of the concert to be held on the stage of Culturgest, in Lisbon, on 25 February at 9:30PM.
